In 2015, Ukraine has purchased 10.3 billion cubic meters of gas from Europe, which is twice more than in 2014. Most of the gas received by the Slovak corridor — 9.7 billion cubic meters.
KYIV, 6 Dec –. Ukraine in 2015 doubled gas imports from Europe in comparison with 2014 year — on-year to 10.3 billion cubic meters, said on Wednesday the press service of the operator of the gas transportation system of Ukraine “Ukrtransgaz”.
“In 2015, with Europe for the needs of Ukraine received 10.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which is two times more than in the previous year. Most natural gas was imported under Slovak corridor — 9.7 billion cubic meters, from Hungary and Poland — 0.5 and 0.1 billion cubic meters respectively,” — said in the message.
As of Wednesday morning for the needs of Ukraine’s natural gas is supplied only from the territory of Europe in the daily mode 20.5 million cubic meters.
Earlier it was reported that in 2015 Ukraine has bought from Russia only 6.1 billion cubic meters of gas. In 2014, this figure amounted to 14.5 billion. In 2015 year, Ukraine bought gas in the period January-June, and then in the period from 12 October to 24 November.
In December 2015, “Gazprom” and “Naftogaz” was in the stage of negotiations regarding the terms of gas purchases in the first quarter of 2016. On the first day of January 2016, was issued the decree of the RF government rates of export customs duties on gas delivered from the Russian territory to Ukraine in the first quarter of 2016.
The resolution stipulates that if the contract price of Russian gas for Ukraine to $ 230 per thousand cubic meters discount can be 17,77 dollar. The gas price for Ukraine in the first quarter with the discount can be 212,23 dollars per thousand cubic meters.
