Annual meeting of the countries-participants of the Asian Bank of infrastructure investments, as reported, will be held at the level of governors, which usually will be presented to Ministers of Finance.
BEIJING, 7 Jan. The first annual meeting of member countries of the Asian infrastructure investment Bank (AIIB; English. Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, AIIB) will be held in Beijing in June 2016, said on Thursday the newspaper China Daily citing a source at the Ministry of Finance of the PRC.
In the future may hold annual meetings in other cities. According to sources, the meeting will be held at the level of governors, which usually will be presented to the Finance Ministers of the participating countries.
Also in Beijing from 16 to 18 January will be held a meeting of the Board of governors and the Board of Directors of AIIB, which will be elected the President of the Bank. Earlier it was reported that the post may take the former Deputy Minister of Finance of China Jin Liqun.
Agreement on the establishment of AIIB was signed on June 29, representatives of 57 countries-founders of the Bank. The largest share of votes in the Board of Directors of the Bank received China, India and Russia. The authorized capital of AIIB will be at the initial stage of 50 billion dollars, and then will be increased to $ 100 billion.
