JAKARTA, 8 January. The trade turnover between Russia and Indonesia in 2016 could remain the same as last year and will be about $2 billion, told journalists during a working visit to Indonesia Minister of industry and trade of Russia Denis Manturov.
“I hope that this year the turnover will not drop and will remain at the same level as in 2015”, he said, adding that in the first nine months of last year the trade turnover between the countries reached about $1.8 billion By the end of 2015 are expected to be around $2 billion, noted the Minister.
“It’s hard to predict what will be the price of oil, on which we depend. The price of oil fell, and this is reflected in the trade turnover between our countries… Objective to achieve annual turnover of $5 billion between the two countries were set back in 2011, when the world economy was in a completely different state,” said Minister of industry and trade of the Russian Federation.
According to him, the current prices of oil do not allow to reach in a short time the annual $5 billion “to achieve the goal can help us to focus on large joint investment projects”, – says Manturov.
