Deputy Dmitry Gorobtsov proposes to completely prohibit deputies to use cellphones and other gadgets at such events as government watch with the participation of the Minister of defence, the FSB Director, the Commission on closed articles of the budget.
MOSCOW, 8 APR –. Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee for security and combating corruption Dmitry Gorobtsov (“Fair Russia”) plans in January to introduce to the state Duma a draft decree on the full ban for deputies to use cellphones and any gadgets on the closed chamber functions.
After the closed governmental hour the Minister of defence of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu in the state Duma Korniyenko told journalists that he would initiate a draft resolution on the ban during private meetings of the chamber using means of communication. According to him, many deputies did not follow the recommendation of Council’s management.
“I now finalize the draft resolution of the state Duma on this topic, based on recommendations by the Chairman of the state Duma. As practice shows, unfortunately, not all our colleagues respond to these recommendations and submit them. Apparently, will contribute immediately at the beginning of the spring session (begins January 11th),” said Korniyenko.
According to him, we are talking about more stringent recommendations for the deputies not to use special mobile phones, are different gadgets in the course of private events.
“The number of such activities include government watch with the participation of Minister of defense, the Director of the Federal security service and so on, as well as other activities, for example, a fee on closed articles of the Federal budget. And not only. For example, parliamentary hearings we sometimes hold in a closed regime,” said Korniyenko.
