Aksenov: the largest chemical plant of the Crimea will expand production capacity


Works “Titan” produces on an industrial scale sulphuric acid and titanium dioxide. The enterprise is preparing an investment project for the construction of a new plant for the production of products for the paint industry, said the head of the Crimea.

SIMFEROPOL, 9 Jan. The Crimean plant “Titan”, owned by Ukrainian businessman Dmitry Firtash, is preparing the investment project for the construction of a new plant, said the head of the Republic Sergey Aksenov.

“Plant “Titan” is preparing an investment project for the construction of a new plant for the production of chemicals for paint industry, purely on the Russian market”, — said Aksenov in an interview to LifeNews.

He stressed that all the investment projects being realized on the territory of the Republic, aims to sell products primarily in the markets of the Russian Federation.

“We have such a variety of enterprises”, — said Aksenov.

The plant “Titan” is located in the city of Armyansk a few kilometers from the border with Ukraine. Raw material for the production of titanium dioxide the company is ilmenite ore. Titan also manufactures on an industrial scale sulphuric acid.
