MOSCOW, 12 Mar –. The Deputy of the state Duma from the CPRF Valery Rashkin has sent a request to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in connection with publications in mass-media about the possible sequestration of the Federal budget by 10%; the member requests not to cut spending on health, education and domestic economy, and spend the sequestration at the expense of the cost of defense, security and law enforcement and “secret items”.

The Deputy refers to the information media, according to which the Federal bodies of Executive authorities by 15 January proposals to reduce Federal spending by at least 10%. Reportedly, this decision was initiated due to the drop in oil prices. Currently it is $ 50 per barrel (the figure was taken into account when developing the project budget) is now around $ 30.

“Mr Medvedev, I suggest You… in the preparation of amendments to the Federal budget for 2016 not to carry out the sequestration of socially significant articles, such as social policy, education, health, and not to cut spending on the national economy and housing and communal services”, — stated in the request, which was circulated by the press service Raskina.
