In addition, the main stock index of the Turkish stock exchange Borsa Istanbul 100 briefly fell because of investors ‘ reactions to news of the explosion to reach 70516 points. However, then the index returned to the “green” zone. As of 14.08 Borsa Istanbul 100 grew 0.23%, to 71211,48 item.

A powerful explosion occurred in the district of Sultanahmet square next to the tram stop at 11.20 Moscow time during the moment when there was a group of tourists. To a scene there arrived a large number of police cars and ambulances.

The victims were sent to hospital, the status information yet. According to the latest data of the authorities, 10 people died, 15 were injured. According to German television channel N24, among the victims are six German tourists.
