Ulyukayev: the number of inspections of small businesses in 2016 will be reduced by one third


The Ministry of economic development expects that the number of inspections faced by small business entities will be reduced by approximately a third in this and subsequent years.

NOVO-Ogaryovo, 13 Jan. Three-year moratorium on inspections of small business that began on 1 January 2016, will significantly reduce costs to the entrepreneurs, the number of inspections will be reduced by about a third, said the Minister of economic development Alexey Ulyukayev at the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with government members.

“Overall, we expect that as a result of these actions the number of inspections faced by small business entities will be reduced by approximately one third this year and in subsequent years. And, accordingly, significantly reduced costs that our business is — time costs, financial. This will improve its competitiveness and efficiency”, — said Ulyukayev.

The relevant law was adopted by Parliament and signed by the President of the Russian Federation in July 2015.

The moratorium is set for the period from 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2018. Introduced a ban on scheduled inspections of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs classified as small businesses.
