The attorney General signed the order about resignation of the Deputy Zvyagintsev

Alexander Zvyagintsev has been released from his post due to retirement for years of service, stated in the message of the Supervisory authority.

MOSCOW, 14 Jan. Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika signed the order about resignation in connection with the retirement of his Deputy Alexander Zvyagintsev, said on Thursday the Supervisory authority.

“By order of the General Prosecutor Yuri Chaika, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation state counselor of justice of the 1st class Alexander Zvyagintsev, was dismissed by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, dismissed in connection with retirement for years of service”, — stated in the message on the website of the Prosecutor General.

As told a source in supervising Department, Zvyagintsev in the near future should lead the Association of prosecutors of Russia, the question of the establishment which is now resolved. The Association is a public organization, which can include both former and current prosecutors.

Moreover, Zvyagintsev last fall he was elected Vice-President of the International Association of prosecutors (IAP) and will continue to hold this position. The Russian Association of prosecutors since its creation can also become a member of iaed.

Iaed is a non — political and non-governmental international organization that brings together 250 thousand prosecutors from nearly 150 countries in the world. It was established in June 1995 at the UN office in Vienna.
