Turkish Dedeman hotel operator has left the Russian market because of sanctions


Moscow. January 14. Turkish hotel operator, Dedeman Hotels & Resorts International stopped work on the Russian market, said the publication Buying Business Travel Russia.

“Yes, we are no longer present in Russia. The contract for the management of the Moscow hotel Dedeman Park Izmailovo terminated”, – the edition quotes the words of the representative of the company.

Its the only hotel in Moscow the company opened in April of last year. The hotel continues to operate, as its owners – the citizens of Russia. But the name had to change to DP Park Izmailovo Moscow.

As reports the edition, now the hotel is looking for a new management company. She can be a Azimut or Marriott.

The company Dedeman Hotels & Resorts International was founded in 1966 by Mehmet Kemal Dedeman. Moscow hotel became 16th in the network.

Sanctions against Turkey were introduced at the end of November 2015, after the incident with the downed Turkish air force Russian bomber. In late December, the government said the list of Turkish companies, which prohibited activities on the territory of Russia. Among them was the hotel and tourist operators.
