Gasification of the Astrakhan SEZ “Lotus” is estimated at about 1 billion rubles

ASTRAKHAN, January 15. /Corr. Elena Porotikov/. Gasification of a special economic zone (SEZ) “Lotus” in Astrakhan region, according to preliminary estimates, will cost about 1 billion rubles. This was reported to journalists the General Director of the SEZ Sergei Milushkin.

“The approximate cost of constructing gas distribution stations and networks to the zone – 1 billion rubles. It is essential that this infrastructure was created in 2016, however, the program (gasification of the Astrakhan region – approx.) “Gazprom” this year already imposed”, – he said.

In the SEZ “Lotus” hope that the program of “Gazprom” can be adjusted. According to the CEO, the SEZ need approximately 612,5 million cubic meters of gas per year, now in the SEZ reaches only 2.6 million cubic meters. If the works will not be held this year, it will significantly slow down the process of attracting residents.

In December 2015 hesititate the SEZ “Lotus” was discussed at the meeting of head “Gazprom” Alexey Miller and the Governor of the region Alexander Zhilkin. In particular, it was reported that Gazprom is ready to consider question of construction of gas pipeline branch and gas distribution station, after preparation by the government of the region justify the investment.

The SEZ “Lotus” is located at the base of the largest shipyard. The planned volume of investments into creation of infrastructure facilities, over 19 billion roubles. It is expected that by 2020, the economic zone will be the base for 40 industrial enterprises.

The first resident of the SEZ “Lotus” is “Your” (the founder – the Russian company “Polycomplex”) which will be placed in the area of production of drip irrigation pipes by a unique method using biodegradable materials. A second resident has become the region’s largest shipbuilding plant “Lotus” (enters in OSK). The plant intends to modernize production. USC will give 320 million rubles, 526 million rubles will be own funds of the enterprise.
