The EU should provide aid worth 3 million 740 thousand euros in the framework of the technical assistance project “Support to the implementation of the Association Agreement and the National transport strategy”.
KYIV, 16 Jan. Ukraine expects to receive from the EU about 3.7 million Euro project of technical assistance for the development of the transport sector, said on Saturday the office for European integration at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
“In Ukraine, begins technical assistance project of the European Union “Support to the implementation of the Association Agreement and the National transport strategy” in the amount of 3 million 740 thousand euros, which is designed for the years 2016-2018″, — stated in the message.
The European side will allow you to update the National transport strategy of Ukraine and to bring it into line with EU standards.
It is assumed that the Ukrainian side needs to adapt, implement and apply the five priority directives and EU regulations in the transport sector, to improve qualification of the personnel, to strengthen cooperation with European transport agencies to ensure legal regulation of multimodal transport, increase the transparency and efficiency of public administration in the transport sector, to bring the policy related to the development of the national transport network, transport policy of the EU.
The project partners were: Dornier Consulting GmbH (Germany), Expertise France (France), Egis International (France), Egis-Ukraina (Ukraine).
