Rouhani: Iran has not been and will not be economic relations with the United States


If the US wants to invest in Iran’s economy, they will face certain obstacles, said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. According to him, the economic ties with the United States limit the export of pistachios and carpets.

MOSCOW, 17 Jan. Once taken, Iran will not restore economic relations with the U.S. in full scale, because of restrictions between the two countries had no relations, said President of Iran Hassan Rouhani at a press conference on Sunday.

“We had no economic relations with the United States and will not be, unless the necessary conditions on aircraft or for export several kinds of products, including pistachios and carpets. In that case, if the US wants to invest in the economy and technology of Iran, they will face certain obstacles, but we are certainly prepared to provide some benefits to those U.S. companies that will operate not from the United States,” said the Iranian President.

Iran and “six” on the night of July 14, reached a historic agreement on the settlement of the longstanding problem of the Iranian atom. Lengthy negotiations culminated in the joint comprehensive plan of action, which will completely withdraw from Iran’s previously imposed economic and financial sanctions by the UNSC, U.S. and EU in exchange for the verification of the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program.
