Foreign Ministry: Russia and Qatar has lifted visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports


The parties signed an agreement on visa-free trips of holders of diplomatic passports and an agreement on cultural cooperation between the two countries, reported the Russian foreign Ministry.

MOSCOW, 18 Jan. Russia and Qatar on Monday signed an agreement on visa-free trips for holders of diplomatic passports, said the Russian foreign Ministry.

“In the framework of the official visit of the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani in Moscow took place the signing ceremony of the agreement between the government of the Russian Federation and the government of the state of Qatar on visa-free trips of holders of diplomatic passports and an agreement between the government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the state of Qatar on cultural cooperation. From the Russian side these documents were signed by the Minister of foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky, with Qatari foreign Minister Khaled al-Attiyah,” said the Russian foreign Ministry.
