State support of milk producers in Russia will increase twice


Moscow. January 20. State support for milk producers in Russia in 2016 will amount to 30 billion rubles, which is twice more than in 2015, said the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev at the 7th Congress of the National Union of milk producers on Wednesday in Moscow.

“Measures of state support of the industry is unprecedented, and the need to achieve self-sufficiency in milk up to 90% (indicator of the doctrine of food security)”, – he said.

According to the Minister, the planned budget of 8 billion rubles will be spent on subsidized loans, 6 billion rubles for reimbursement of capital expenditures for the modernization of dairy farming, 13 billion roubles in subsidies for 1 kg of milk.

As said Tkachev, the solution to the problems the industry faced is expected due to the construction of new developments, support family farms, improve the productivity of cows.

The Minister confirmed earlier evidence that the shortage of milk in the country is 8 million tons. With government support, it can be eliminated in 5-7 years, he suggests.

Tkachev also said that the Ministry was preparing measures against falsifications of dairy products.

“Many can not compete, indulge in palm oil”, – he noted.
