Kostin: sanctions against Russia will last for about two years

DAVOS, January 21. The head of VTB Andrey Kostin expects the sanctions against Russia will last for about two years. He said this in Davos on business Breakfast “VTB Capital” with investors.

“Sanctions, I believe that you need to wait a couple more years,” he said.

The head of the state Bank also noted that he sees the easing of geopolitical tensions in relations between Russia and foreign countries. “The improvement will be for a number of reasons, we have a consistent policy on the part of the government and attempts to restore dialogue with the West. We see that Europe needs relations with Russia. In addition, probably, the administration of (U.S. President) Obama wants to achieve results before she leaves,” said Kostin.
