TEHRAN, January 23. /Corr. Alexander Levchenko/. Iranian organization for trade facilitation (IOST) has banned Iranian companies to export Turkish products to Russia through Iran. This was stated by the Deputy Director of the organization Moammad Reza Moududi.
“In accordance with the decree of the Minister of trade of Iran Mohammad Reza Nematzade, IOST banned Iranian companies to export Turkish products to Russia through Iran”, – quotes the Iranian official Agency IRNA. He also added that such re-export contrary to the export policy of the Islamic Republic. And given the tense relations between Turkey and Russia, such actions of the Iranian merchants can have a negative impact on ties between Tehran and Moscow, he said Maududi.
In addition, he expressed concern that otherwise, Russia may tighten regulations for the export of Iranian products in their country. On the contrary, believes Deputy head of the IOST, Iranian businessmen should increase trade with the neighboring country.
