MOSCOW, 23 Jan. The Ministry of energy of the Russian Federation does not currently discussing the possibility of increasing the tax burden on the oil and gas industry, such proposals from the Ministry of Finance and the government has not received, told reporters energy Minister Alexander Novak.

“At least we in the Ministry there are no offers and we have not received from the Ministry of Finance or from other agencies and from the government,” — said Novak on the question of a possible increase in the tax burden.

“The most important thing now — better not to touch anything that was not an additional burden on the industry to clearly understand his perspective and his plans built… Better not need any additional benefits, but does not change the tax burden”, — the Minister noted.

Novak explained that currently also does not discuss tax changes for 2017.

“We’ll have to wait to see how the situation will develop. You can’t react every day to the volatility on the markets… makes No sense right now something urgent to change,” — said the Minister.
