Russia by the end of 2015 has reduced gold production by 3.1%


In 2015 in Russia also decreased production of palladium and alloys on its basis (2.8%) and platinum (10.5%), according to the data of Rosstat.

MOSCOW, 25 Jan. Russia by the end of 2015 reduced the production of gold bars in comparison with the previous year by 3.1%, according to data of Rosstat.

Production of palladium and alloys on its basis declined by 2.8%, production of platinum and alloys decreased by 10.5%.

Mining of gold ore and production of concentrates for the year were down 3.5%. At the same time, production of silver ore and production of concentrates at its base grew last year by 12.5%. Production of natural rough diamonds increased by 5%.

In December, the production of gold bullion increased by 6.2% compared to December 2014 and by 10.1% compared with the previous month. The production of platinum and alloys on its basis in December fell by 1.4% yoy and 42.5% for November, the production of palladium and alloys also decreased by 4.2% compared to a year ago and 26.4% by November.

Mining of gold ore and production of concentrates in December 2015 rose by 0.4% in comparison with December of previous year and decreased by 7.5% compared to November 2015. Mining silver ore and production of concentrates in December 2015 has increased by 25,9% in comparison with December a year earlier and fell by 7.3% by November 2015. Production of natural rough diamonds in December year-on-year decreased by 22.9% and rose 0.1% in November.
