Earlier, the Minister of economy, industry and digital technology, France Emmanuel macron said that in case of implementation of the Minsk agreements can be discussed on the revision of EU sanctions against Russia.

“In the Kremlin has repeatedly reacted to it. In General, sanctions are not our issue agenda, and the question, accordingly, those who resort to such sanctions rhetoric”, — said Peskov on the request of journalists to comment on how the Kremlin reacts to the statements of European officials, in particular to the statement by the Minister of economy of France.

“And, of course, we believe that these sanctions are absolutely illegal, that they are contrary to the interests not only Russia, but also countries themselves, which have imposed these sanctions,” — said the press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.

According to him, primarily in linking the lifting of sanctions with the implementation of the Minsk agreements need to discuss the performance of its obligations by Kiev.

“And finally, of course, speaking about implementation of the Minsk agreements, now, it seems to us, should first talk about what is necessary to do to Kiev because, if we take the text of the Minsk agreements and simply read the paragraphs it contains are there clearly defined responsibilities of Kiev, which, unfortunately, are not fulfilled,” — said Peskov.
