The Rosselkhoznadzor has destroyed over half a tonne of fruit, under sanctions Novosibirsk


NOVOSIBIRSK, January 25. Employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor administration for the Novosibirsk region seized a shipment of sanctions of the European fruit that tried to smuggle into Russia through Kazakhstan. More than half a ton of apples, pears and kiwi crushed by a bulldozer, according to the press service of the regional Department of Rosselkhoznadzor.

“Inspectors of the Rosselkhoznadzor administration for the Novosibirsk region during carrying out of quarantine phytosanitary control identified a shipment of sanction of fresh fruit weighing over half a ton. Under the ban were imported from the Republic of Kazakhstan German 270 kg of apples, 240 kg of Dutch pears and 16 kg Italian kiwi”, – stated in the message.

Smuggled products were destroyed on the ground, crushing by bulldozer, said the Agency. This party became the first fruits of sanctions production, detained in Novosibirsk region since the beginning of the year.

The decree about destruction of the products fell under the Russian embargo, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed on July 29. These measures do not apply to products that citizens imported for personal consumption.
