Airlines in 2015, reduced transportation up to 92 million people


International transportation fell by 15.8%. The total passenger turnover of Russian airlines decreased in 2015 by 6% and reached 226,843 billion passenger-kilometers.

MOSCOW, 26 Jan. Airlines of the Russian Federation in 2015 reduced the carriage of passengers by 1.2% compared with the same period last year — up 92,071 million people, according to the materials of the Federal air transport Agency.

International transportation decreased by 15.8% to 39,51 million people. The transportation between Russia and foreign countries decreased by 18.6% to 32,31 million passengers, transportation between the Russian Federation and the CIS countries by 0.6% to 7.2 million people. Domestic traffic showed a growth of 13.6% to 52,56 million passengers. The percentage of occupancy of the seats decreased by 0.1 percentage points to 79.7 per cent.

The total passenger turnover of Russian airlines decreased in 2015 by 6% and reached 226,843 billion passenger-kilometers. On international routes passenger turnover decreased by 16.4% to 127,61 billion passenger-kilometers, and domestic — increased by 11.7% to 99,24 billion passenger-kilometers.
