In the Crimea arrived the mission of the Council of Europe on the evaluation of respect for human rights


Earlier, Secretary General of the Council of Europe thorbjørn Jagland said that in the Crimea sends a mission to assess the observance of human rights. According to him, the mission will be carried out in full independence and shall not affect the issue of the territorial status of Crimea.

SIMFEROPOL, 25 Jan. The mission of the Council of Europe on the evaluation of respect for human rights arrived in Crimea, said Deputy Prime Minister of the Crimean government, the permanent representative of Crimea under the Russian President Georgi Muradov.

Earlier, Secretary General of the Council of Europe thorbjørn Jagland said that in the Crimea sends a mission to assess the observance of human rights. According to him, the mission will be carried out in full independence and shall not affect the issue of the territorial status of Crimea.

“The delegation of the Council of Europe arrived in Crimea. For a brief business dinner was held a short business conversation”, said Muradov.

Muradov stressed that the mission is headed by the special representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Ambassador gérard Stoudmann. The delegation will stay on the Peninsula until the end of the week.

According to Muradova, on Tuesday scheduled meeting of the delegation with the head of the Republic Sergey Aksenov, as well as visiting a number of social facilities.

Earlier the Crimean authorities stated that they are ready to provide all necessary assistance to the mission received the full picture about the life of the Crimeans.
