Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo is planning to Sochi to take part in the summit Russia-ASEAN, said the Indonesian Ambassador in Moscow djauhari Oratmangun.
MOSCOW, 26 Jan. Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo plans to visit Sochi 17-20 may and take part in the summit Russia-ASEAN, told the Indonesian Ambassador in Moscow djauhari Oratmangun.
“President Widodo wrote a letter to President Putin that he wants to come with 17 to 20 may in Sochi to participate in the summit,” the Ambassador said.
“We hope that the summit will be a meeting of two heads of state”, — said Oratmangun.
Earlier, Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the summit Russia-ASEAN (Association of South-East Asia) will be held in may in Sochi. According to him, in the agenda of the forthcoming summit will include questions about the beginning together with its partners in the Eurasian economic Union consultations with members of the SCO and ASEAN on the creation of possible economic partnership. Lavrov said that the summit will be devoted to the 20th anniversary of relations with the Association of South-East Asia.
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin in his annual address to the Federal Assembly proposed, together with colleagues in the Eurasian economic Union to begin consultations with members of the SCO and ASEAN on forming a possible economic partnership.
