Lavrov: Russia is now safely protected from the presence of ISIS in their territory


MOSCOW, January 26. Russia is currently protected from the presence of the terrorist “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia) on its territory. This was announced at a press conference, Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

“They (terrorists) climb in all the cracks, holes, – said the Minister. And if we’re not going to fight them, they are no one can escape”.

“At this stage we (Russia) have a barrier, and all the manifestations that we see in Russia, we kopiruem,” assured Lavrov.

“ISLAMIC STATE”

“Islamic state” (ISIS) – an Islamist terrorist organization operating inside Iraq and Syria. Established on 15 October 2006 by the merger of 11 radical Sunni groups. The core group forming the militants, who fought with American troops during their stay in Iraq and with the forces of the government of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.

The IG recognized as a terrorist organization in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Turkey, Egypt, UAE, India, Indonesia, and Russia (29 December 2014).
