Medvedev rejected the idea of establishing a state Corporation for innovation

Moscow. January 26.Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev did not support the innovative idea of creating state corporations, the development of this sector will be engaged in three new project management office, said Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.

“One of the proposals of experts was really the creation of the Corporation that would coordinate the activities of all these institutions. The proposal was not supported by the Chairman of the government,” Dvorkovich told journalists following the meeting with the Prime Minister on improvement of institutes of innovative development.

According to him, were supported by other suggestions, in particular, the establishment within the framework of the government project office. “There was support for the reformatting of the mandates of existing institutions for development, if necessary and where necessary. We see, in some cases it’s definitely needed,” he said, adding he did not rule out the merger or liquidation of selected innovative institutions.

Thus Dvorkovich said that he was unaware of plans to appoint a new Deputy head of the government on innovation.

“The structure of government is a prerogative of the President upon recommendation of the Prime Minister. As far as I know, no such plans”, – he told journalists, commenting on the information on plans for the appointment of a new Vice-Premier on questions of innovative development.
