The Prime Minister stressed that, while responding to the current economic problems, we must not forget about the development of the country. The Russian authorities have repeatedly noted that the innovative approaches necessary for effective import substitution.

MOSCOW, 26 Jan. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will hold a meeting with members of the expert Council of the government for improving the activity of innovation development, which will discuss the current state of Russian innovation system and the issues of formation of innovative infrastructure.

“The event will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, Minister Mikhail Abyzov, Minister of industry and trade of Russia Denis Manturov”, — stated in the message of the Cabinet.

The Prime Minister has previously stressed that, while responding to the current economic problems, we must not forget about the development of the country.

The government has also repeatedly stated that the innovative approaches necessary for effective import substitution, and this is one of the important directions of anti-crisis policy. Medvedev also stated the need to restructure the country’s economy from raw material to innovative.

Since the beginning of summer 2014 to the end of last year, oil prices have fallen more than tripled — from 115 to 36 dollars per barrel of Brent, and for the first three weeks of 2016 fell below $ 30. The expert Council under the government of the Russian Federation established for the examination, as well as participation in the development and implementation of all relevant socio-economic decisions of the Cabinet, Federal ministries and agencies. The Council takes an active part in the discussion of the efficiency of budget expenditure, investment programs of natural monopolies, the quality of public administration.
