MOSCOW, January 26. Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev will hold a meeting with members of the Expert Council under the RF government. According to the press service of the Cabinet, the meeting is planned to discuss the current state of Russian innovation system and the issues of formation of innovative infrastructure.
The event will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, Minister for Open government Affairs Mikhail Abyzov, Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov.
The last Council meeting with Medvedev held in the middle of last week. Then the participants discussed the current socio-economic situation and current issues of development of the economy. In particular, the Prime Minister announced that the government is preparing proposals for the continuation of the anti-crisis plan in 2016. It will include new support measures, a number of measures will be extended, some activities will have to be abandoned, said Medvedev then.
Earlier in the framework of the Gaidar forum the Minister for Open government Mikhail Abyzov has informed that the Expert Council under the RF government in the coming weeks the Cabinet will provide independent opinion on optimization of budget expenditures. The Minister stressed the need “to prepare for the worst scenario and to establish such mechanisms for the management of budget expenditures, which would allow if necessary to conduct a further contraction.”
The expert Council under the government of Russia is an Advisory body and created for the examination, as well as participation in the development and implementation of relevant socio-economic decisions of the government, Federal ministries and agencies. The Council takes an active part in discussing such issues of activity of the Cabinet, as the effectiveness of budget expenditures, the introduction of Federal contract system, the investment programme of natural monopolies, the quality of the state administration system, creation of mega-regulator of financial markets, management of the space industry.
