The CPS has filed 35 cases on the results of unscheduled inspections of tour operators


MOSCOW, January 26. Territorial bodies of Rospotrebnadzor conducted 966 unscheduled inspections of Russian tour operators and travel agents and has issued 35 decisions about initiation of administrative proceedings and conducting an administrative investigation. As reported in the press release of Rospotrebnadzor, a total of 98 were drawn up protocols on administrative offences.

Checks are carried out in the framework of the monitoring of compliance by tour operators and travel agents requirements to refrain from sale to citizens of Russia tourist product, providing a visit to Turkey.

In particular, the administration of Rospotrebnadzor in the Republic of Tatarstan has revealed the fact of posting on the website of LLC “Agency of the FIREBIRD” tours in Turkey.

“Information was freely available and encouraged them to commit actions, which subsequently could lead to difficulty for the adoption of measures to protect Russian citizens and assistance from the Russian Federation”, – stated in the message.

After that the tour operator has removed this information from its website.

Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor in Moscow for the first time filed a lawsuit against the website, locating the information about the holiday in Turkey contrary to the decree of the President of the directing Russian tour operators and travel agents to stop promoting trips to this country.

The decree of the President

On 28 November, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On measures for safeguarding national security of the Russian Federation and the protection of citizens from criminal and other unlawful acts and on application of special economic measures against the Turkish Republic.” In accordance with the decree, in particular, the Russian tour operators and travel agents should refrain from working in Turkey, to suspend the promotion and implementation of tourism products in Turkey.
