Russia will not discuss the decline in oil production


Moscow. January 27. Russian authorities do not discuss in practical terms the issue of declining oil production due to unfavorable pricing environment, said the President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov

“You probably mean yesterday’s words of Dvorkovich (Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich) on a possible reduction of oil production volumes. Now I am not ready to talk about it, because in terms of applied there are no specifics yet,” said Sands, answering the journalists ‘ question whether Russia to introduce quotas on the export of oil.

According to him, Moscow has regularly exchanged views on the situation on the oil markets with other States, primarily oil.

Answering the question whether Moscow to coordinate the production and export of oil from other countries, Peskov said: “Consultations and exchange of views with various countries and especially oil-on the situation on the oil markets, indeed, takes place on an ongoing basis. However, in applied terms to talk about coordination it is not necessary”.
