MOSCOW, 27 Jan. The number issued in 2015 car loans in Russia decreased compared to the 2014 year by 41% to 485,3 thousand units and the share of credit cars has increased from 35.2% to 37.1%, according to data from the National Bureau of credit histories and analytical Agency “AUTOSTAT”.
“According to information from 3.5 thousand creditors, conveying information to NBCH, by the end of 2015 the amount bought on credit of cars was 485,3 thousand units, a decrease compared with the previous year by 41% (in 2014 — 823,4 thousand units)”, — stated in a joint message to NBCH and “AUTOSTAT”.
“Particularly strong decline in lending was recorded in the first quarter of 2015 — more than three times compared with the first quarter of 2014. In subsequent reporting periods, the decline in lending was a smaller scale”, — said in a release.
“However, the comparison of data on the car market and the number of disbursed loans indicates an increase in the share of credit cars in the total car market. So, in 2015 the share of cars bought on credit, grew by 37.1%, an increase compared with the previous year by 1.9 percentage points (or 35.2%),” according to the company.
