MOSCOW, January 28. Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev will hold in St. Petersburg visiting session of the Commission on import substitution. For the consideration rendered the question of the problems of agricultural engineering.

“The meeting participants will discuss the implementation of the policies of import substitution in the framework of the Eurasian economic Union, projects of import substitution in agricultural engineering, but will also consider the draft regulation of the Government Commission on import substitution”, – said the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers. Together with Medvedev in St. Petersburg will depart Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Minister of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev, Minister of agriculture Alexander Tkachev, Minister of communications and mass media Nikolai Nikiforov, energy Minister Alexander Novak, health Minister Veronika Skvortsova, Minister of transport Maxim Sokolov.
Now the government is finalizing updated anti-crisis plan that takes into account falling oil prices. On Monday Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed his subordinates to prepare a document before 1 February.

In his opinion, “it is important to consolidate the positive changes that were achieved in the economy last year, to maintain financing of priority sectors, which should subsequently be the basis for economic growth, to concentrate resources in those sectors where there is high potential both from the point of impact on the economy in General, and import substitution”. Among these sectors he mentioned the automotive industry and agricultural engineering.
The governmental Commission on imports established in August of 2015. It must coordinate the actions of all levels of government and organizations to implement the state policy in the sphere of import substitution, reducing the dependence of industries on imports, and to quickly resolve issues on timely and full satisfaction of legal entities in the production industries.
Today in St. Petersburg, Medvedev also plans to visit the St. Petersburg tractor plant, inspect Assembly manufacture and samples of agricultural machinery and to communicate with employees.
