The web in 2016 will need up to 200 billion rubles from the budget

Moscow. January 28. State support for VEB in 2016 could reach 150-200 billion rubles, told journalists the Minister of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev.

“If we talk about this year is of the order of 150-200 billion roubles”, – he said. The mechanism of the OFZ thus will not be used, said the Minister.

“As part of the year it is impossible to apply the mechanism of the OFZ,” said the speaker. On specifying question, whether it is direct budgetary funding, the Minister replied: “I don’t know, but we need it.”

The head of VEB Vladimir Dmitriyev reported earlier that the government could provide comprehensive support to Vnesheconombank by the middle of February.

The web support is required to service foreign debts and capital replenishment. Part of the assistance program VEB is already known: the extension and cheapening of deposits from the national welfare Fund (NWF), and the transfer of Svyaz-Bank and GLOBEXBANK to the Agency for Deposit insurance (DIA) with simultaneous reduction and improvement in debt to the Central Bank. It is anticipated that the transaction will be at market value.

On the development of Svyaz-Bank and “GLOBEKS”, in addition to provided by the Central Bank of 212,6 billion in 2008, VEB used more than 14 billion roubles from own sources and paid over 55 billion rubles by the Central Bank as interest for the use of funds.

Earlier, a source reported that the government continues to discuss the option of additional capitalization of the Bank at the expense of OFZ bonds at 1.2 trillion rubles and can break the amount into several tranches of 200 billion rubles to mitigate the burden on the budget.
