“With the number 001 on the basis of the order of the Minister of transport, on the basis of a new administrative regulation for the first time in the Russian Federation has received a certificate of aviation security,” said the Civilian. According to him, the above certificate “will allow the airport to comply with and support the international level”.

In the Committee on transport Karelia previously reported that in 2015, the airport reconstructed the ramp and the Parking of aircraft, taxiways, lighting, drainage system. In addition, the Ministry of defense replaced the defective concrete slabs of the runway.

The reconstruction of the airport of Petrozavodsk is made at the expense of means of the Federal budget allocated under the Federal target program development of transport system of Russia till 2020.

Today from Petrozavodsk airport has flights to St Petersburg. From 2 February will appear regular flight to Moscow.

Head of Karelia Alexander Khudilainen has informed earlier that the investor intends to invest in the construction of the passenger terminal at the airport of Petrozavodsk 800 million rubles. The construction is scheduled to begin this year.
