Gazprom in January increased exports to foreign countries by 36%, to 15 billion cubic meters


MOSCOW, 1 February. Gazprom in January 2016 increased exports to foreign countries by 36% compared to the same period last year to 15.1 billion cubic meters, is spoken in the message of the holding with reference to the Chairman of the Board Alexey Miller.

“The demand for Russian gas in the far abroad continues to grow. According to preliminary data, Gazprom’s supplies to the market in January 2016 have increased by 36.1% compared to the same period in 2015 and amounted to 15.1 billion cubic meters. The greatest growth demonstrate the key countries-consumers of Russian gas. In particular, exports to Germany increased by 50.9 percent, to Britain by 185,7%, Italy 16.1%, to Poland – by 67.2%,” – said Miller at the meeting.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Russian gas holding Victor Zubkov has informed that “Gazprom” in 2016 can supply Europe with 160 billion cubic meters of gas. “Gazprom” in 2015, increased gas export to far abroad countries by 8% compared with the previous year to 159.4 billion cubic meters. Thus, in 2016, the exports to Europe will remain almost on the same level as last year.

In particular, shipments to Germany 2015 for the year increased by 17.1%, Italy 12.6%, France – by 36.8%, in the UK by 10.2%, Austria – by 11.5%.
