Moscow. February 1. Iran has cancelled a conference with foreign investors in the oil and gas industry, which was scheduled for February in London, according to the Agency iran.ru. The refusal was caused by problems obtaining visas for Iranian delegates.
Iran planned the conference, during which were to be presented new contracts for foreign investors in the oil and gas industry.
“The London conference will not take place because the British Embassy in Tehran is not able to issue visas to representatives of the Iranian companies”, – said the Deputy head of the oil Corporation National Iranian Oil (NIOC) Ali Kardar.
According to Agency sources, the Iranian delegates have to obtain visas via a third country.
Kardar noted that in may, foreign companies will be invited to participate in tenders for oil contracts.
