The Minister of economic development of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev said that in case of discussing an additional fee of citizens working in the FIU, the Ministry would not support this initiative.
MOSCOW, 1 Feb. The subject of the introduction of a surcharge from working citizens to the Pension Fund in the government is not discussed, said the Minister of economic development of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev.
“In the government this topic is not discussed, I know that there are such ideas, but no discussion in the government there,” said the speaker, answering the journalists ‘ question about possible increase of insurance contributions for pension insurance of working citizens.
As wrote on Monday, the newspaper “Vedomosti” referring to Federal officials, the government is discussing the levy with working citizens to the Pension Fund in the amount of 2% of salary. According to the newspaper, FIU projected the wage Fund by 2016 – 19,9 trillion rubles. Thus, the introduction of the 2% additional payment for all citizens will give the pension system of nearly 400 billion rubles.
The speaker also noted that if the government was a substantive discussion of the subject, the Ministry would not support this initiative.
