The Chairman of the Central Bank Sukhov considers valid lifetime bans bankers from the black list

TULA, 2 February. Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Mikhail Sukhov called acceptable lifetime bans bankers from the black list of the Central Bank, that is, to prohibit such persons continue to engage in specialized activities. He said this at a seminar for journalists.

He also said that the black list of the Bank of Russia currently includes 4742 banker who violate the requirements for the business reputation.

“Our base is now 4742 a black man. Their number increases proportionally to the number of banks whose licenses were revoked. And it is clear that these persons now are not able not only to hold positions in banks, they cannot participate in official control of other credit institutions”, – told reporters Sukhov.

The Central Bank of the Russian Federation in 2015 has revoked the licenses of 93 banks and non-Bank credit organizations. This is the largest number since 1999, when the Central Bank ceased activity more than 200 banks.
