Medvedev instructed to provide solutions to support the automotive industry


The Ministry of industry and trade, Ministry of economic development and the Ministry of Finance should submit to the government draft laws on the acceleration of processes of import substitution in the automotive industry.

MOSCOW, 3 Feb. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of economic development to ensure full and timely implementation of decisions to support the automotive industry, according to the website of the Cabinet.

Medvedev also instructed until 15 February to submit to the government draft laws on the acceleration of processes of import substitution in the automotive industry. Orders sent to the Ministry of industry and trade, Ministry of economic development and Ministry of Finance.

The economic development Ministry is instructed jointly with Vnesheconombank and “Russian export centre” until March 15 to submit proposals on increase of export of automotive industry products, having reviewed traditional and new foreign markets.

In addition, charged jointly with GLONASS to submit to the Cabinet of Ministers the proposals on expediency of amending the regulations of the Customs Union in the part of exemption of wheeled vehicles of category M1 (vehicle used to transport passengers) from mandatory requirements for the installation of this device ERA-GLONASS.

Also, the Ministry of labor requested until February 10 to pay a bill to provide subsidies for the implementation of activities in the sphere of employment.

Earlier Medvedev signed a decree on the allocation of 50 billion rubles in 2016 to support programme demand and production in the automotive sector.
