Russia and Egypt are discussing the issue of supply Egypt Air up to 40 aircraft SSJ 100

MOSCOW, 3 Feb. Russia and Egypt are discussing the possibility of delivery of the airline Egypt Air up to 40 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft, said in an interview with TV channel “Russia 24” Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov.

He recalled that the Russian-Egyptian intergovernmental Commission signed a Memorandum on the delivery of the Egyptian Charter airline Air Leisure four aircraft SSJ 100 with an option for six more cars. The first four aircraft, according to the Minister, will be delivered before the end of 2016.

“But the other airline, Egypt Air, today is considering the development of transport from Egypt to other countries our Sukhoi Superjet. We are now discussing the possibility of delivery of up to 40 aircraft to 20 plus 20. This is such a big promising project that will ensure utilization of our capacity in the near future”, — said the Minister.

“Of course, it depends on many factors, in particular financial conditions that we are working on with our financial institutions. But most importantly, that there is good will and desire, and clear program, what aircraft will be substituted in this case by our Sukhoi Superjet”, he added.

Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ 100) is a Russian short-haul passenger airliner, designed to carry up to 98 passengers to a distance of about 4.4 thousand kilometers.
