The former head of the IMF was member of the Supervisory Board of the Bank of Kuchma’s son-in-law


The press service of the Bank “Credit Dnepr” announced the involvement of Strauss-Kahn to the Supervisory Board of the credit institution. In an official statement quoted the Chairman of the Board Helena Malin, who expressed confidence that the unique experience of foreign observers will allow to build the development strategy of the Bank in accordance with the best international standards.

In addition to Strauss-Kahn, the Supervisory Board also included the Swedish economist Anders åslund, a former President of Rothschild Conseil International Jean-Pierre Saltiel.

The owner of the Bank “Credit Dnepr”, which according to “Interfax-Ukraine” occupies 23rd place in terms of total assets among Ukrainian banks, is the son-in-law of former President Leonid Kuchma Victor Pinchuk. The latter is also the owner of the investment-consulting group EastOne, which owns a pipe company “Interpipe”, STB TV-channel, newspaper “Delo”. In the ranking of the Ukrainian edition of Forbes magazine Pinchuk is second. His fortune is estimated at $1.5 billion.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn until may 2011 he was the head of the IMF and was considered one of the contenders for the presidency of France. However, in 2011 he was accused of sexual assault at the Sofitel in new York, which led to his resignation. Later the case was settled out of court.

In 2012, Strauss-Kahn was accused of gang of pimps, who worked in the finest hotel in the North of France. The charge was removed with Strauss-Kahn in June 2015.
