MOSCOW, 5 February. The defense Ministry suggested the Western colleagues to establish an Advisory centre for cooperation in Syria, Amman in Jordan, however, met the refusal of the United States. This was reported to journalists the Deputy head of the Russian defense Ministry Anatoly Antonov.
“We suggested in the first place, Americans and other Western countries to establish a joint Advisory centre to address issues of interaction. Suggested as a possible place of its dislocation Amman (Jordan). We were refused”, – he said.
“Our Minister proposed a telephone conversation with (the Pentagon) Ashton Carter. It was January 19. We were given to understand that such a discussion is inappropriate,” – said Antonov.
