The king of Morocco opened the world’s largest solar power plant


RABAT, February 4. /Corr. Pervin Mamed-zade/. Near the Moroccan town of Ouarzazate (South-East) took place the opening ceremony of the world’s largest solar power plant named “Nour 1” (“Nur” means “light” in Arabic). It was personally attended by king Mohammed VI and members of the government of Morocco and foreign guests.

Construction and opening of the “Nur-1” has become part of a larger project on the development of renewable energy resources, which is carried out in the Kingdom. According to experts, during the construction were used the most advanced technology.
