Kadyrov called for relatives of one of the leaders of Chechen separatists Ahmed Zakayev

GROZNY, February 5. The head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov called for relatives of one of the leaders of Chechen separatists Ahmed Zakayev, who lives in the town of Urus-Martan. About this informed the head of Chechnya on his page on Instagram. Zakayev is now in the UK.

“Brothers and sisters of Akhmed Zakayev – Ali, bawadi, Lila and Ziza, very warmly greeted me. Treated Chechen dishes and fragrant tea. They said that no one has ever created a problem,” writes Kadyrov.

I said that in Ahmed there is no reason to sit in London. People made an informed choice. This choice should be respected. Ahmed a long time would return home, if the decision depended only on him

The head of Chechnya recalled that hundreds and thousands of former supporters of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (the self-proclaimed Republic on the territory of modern Chechnya – ed.) are decent people who work and contribute to the development of Chechnya.

“Ahmed has many relatives. They live as whole people. But brothers and sisters (Zakayev – approx.) they say that concern for Ahmed never leaves their hearts. They want to he connected with the family. It was hard for me to see tears in the eyes of older people who live many years in separation from his brother. Ali asked permission to call me brother. I gave him this right and offered at any time to ask if there will be any issues”, – said Kadyrov.

He also expressed the opinion that his visit could be interpreted by some as an attempt to influence relatives Zakayev for the purpose of his return.
