Slutsky: Russia is forced to respond symmetrically to the case of the introduction of Kiev visas

MOSCOW, 5 February. Russia will be forced to respond symmetrically to the case of the adoption by Ukraine of the decision to cancel a visa-free regime. About it on Friday was declared by the head of the Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots Leonid Slutsky.

Registered in the Verkhovna Rada of the agreement on visa-free regime between Ukraine and Russia, reported on 5 February on the website of the Ukrainian Parliament. In it the authors ask the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to terminate the Russian-Ukrainian intergovernmental agreement on visa-free trips of citizens of two countries.

“Of course, in case of denunciation of the agreement on visa-free regime, Russia will respond symmetrically,” stated Slutsky. And this, he said, “unfortunately, the impact on ordinary people”, because, “we have still not rolled until the end of the cultural and humanitarian exchanges at all levels”. “So if we’ll be forced to introduce visas with Ukraine, will try to make it for many categories of Ukrainian citizens soft”, – said the head of the Committee He drew attention that the Russian side is “be principled”. “Yatsenyuk and Poroshenko come and go, but the Russians and Ukrainians are historically one people, parts of the Russian world”, – said the MP.

The proposal Slutsky called “stupidity”. “The initiative to abolish the visa-free regime, at the stage of emergence in 2014 was a complete stupidity. Apparently the author is ex-Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Parubiy, became the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, not much wiser,” he said.

According to him, two years after the coup Ukraine is more and more sinking into a pit of economic, corruption through the roof, as the sinking ship of the government Yatsenyuk ready to run foreign Legionnaires”. “As parliamentarians continue to play the anti-Russian card. Nothing else to do!”, – considers Slutsky.
