Earlier media published the appeal of the Deputy from “Fair Russia” Oleg Pakholkov to the Minister of economic development of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev’s proposal to consider the possibility within five years to completely stop selling oil abroad and develop a strategy for the development of inland economy of the Russian Federation by rejecting petroleum dependence.

“The proposal to restructure the economy, if it meant Pakholkov, as the correct message, but the means to achieve, in my opinion, erroneous, because we need to focus resources on processing, machine-building industry, but for a start, these resources need to have, and without oil revenues, they will not, and it turns out that we will be able to hew themselves,” – said Aksakov on Friday, TASS reported.

The parliamentarian recalled that the income derived from the sale of hydrocarbons, primarily at the expense of their exports, account for almost 50% of the revenue part of the Russian budget. “Abandoning exports, we have to find a replacement. With declining or stagnant economy, such a substitution we will not provide,” he explained.

“Accordingly, we, on the one hand (in the case of a proposed Pakholkova), harm the revenue side of the budget, on the other hand will inflict damage to the oil companies that will be forced to reduce the number of jobs will be less to invest in production,” – said Aksakov. “Instead of stimulating economic growth, which should be conducted including the budget, we get the opposite situation,” he warned.

In this regard, the head of the Duma Committee stressed that “it is necessary first to undertake the restructuring, to meet domestic consumption, including of energy resources, deep processing, and then life itself will lead to the fact that, you may need to reduce exports to satisfy domestic demand for energy”.

“Criminal” thoughts

The head of the state Duma Committee on energy, the United Russia party, Pavel Zavalny believes a “criminal” even thought about the ban of oil exports and stressed that the oil industry provides the opportunity to develop the Russian economy.

“Bullshit,” the dammed simply responded to a request to comment on this initiative. “The oil industry is the nurse, this is an industry that gives a chance to our state for economic restructuring, but we, unfortunately, do not use”, he added.

“The industry is small that provides the necessary resources at the lowest prices our economy, giving the possibility of development, but it brings money, in fact lays the Golden egg, lets not just survive, but thrive, so even thinking is a crime,” said Zavalny.
