Saudi Arabia has said it is ready to send to Syria spetsnaz


Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Adel al-Jubayr said that at the moment there is a discussion of the possible ground operation in Syria, reports Reuters. According to him, Saudi Arabia is ready to send to combat “Islamic state” (organization banned in Russia) spetsnaz.

“Around the issue of the conduct of the US-led coalition ground operations in Syria against ISIL is a discussion. And Saudi Arabia has expressed its readiness to provide its special forces, if such operation will be approved,” the Minister said. He did not specify how many military Saudi Arabia is ready to send to Syria.
