The risks of the launch and testing of the satellite “GLONASS-M” have been insured for 2.5 billion rubles

MOSCOW, February 9. The risks of the launch and flight tests of the satellite “GLONASS-M” in orbit were insured in “Ingosstrakh” and “SOGAZ”. As reported in a press-release of “SOGAZ”, the limit of liability under the insurance contract is 2.5 billion rubles.

“The spacecraft and the launch vehicle with the upper stage were insured in case of total loss in a disaster start. Also “GLONASS-M” is insured against death during the flight tests. The insurance period of the satellite is completed in three months since start”, – stated in the message.

On 7 February the Russian spacecraft “GLONASS-M”, launched by the carrier rocket “Soyuz-2.1 b” from the Plesetsk cosmodrome (Arkhangelsk region), the estimated time was placed into target orbit and adopted by the onshore funds Main test space center name Titov Space forces aerospace forces (VKS).
