From 1 July 2016 the Russian Union of motor insurers (RAMI) is going to replace all forms of insurance policies, including and operating. This will be done to counter the spread of false forms of insurance policies.
The decision was taken on Thursday, February 11th, at the meeting of the Presidium of the PCA. It is supported by the Gosznak and the traffic police, said the Executive Director of the PCA Evgenie Ufimtsev
“Assume instantaneous replacement of old forms on new CTP, including in circulation”, — said the President of the PCA and the Russian Union of insurers (VSS) Igor Jurgens (quoted by “Interfax”), adding that the details will not be disclosed until the last moment. He noted that “none of the drivers will not have to incur additional costs, the costs of this exchange will be borne by the insurers”.
“The change will allow to withdraw from circulation counterfeit policies, and complicate the ability to manufacture the new counterfeit and make you think insurers now whether to buy a fake policy, as after July 1, it will have to buy again,” explained Jurgens.
The parameters of new forms Goznak develops. They will have a higher level of protection, said Ufimtsev.
According to him, the mechanism of replacement has not been thoroughly elaborated: “it May be entered a transition period, during which citizens will be able to exchange the old form to the new,” says Ufimtsev.
