Members of the movement “Avtomaydan Zhitomir” started blocking trucks with Russian numbers, according to “First Zhytomyr information portal”. The action takes place at the checkpoint “vystupovichi”, which is on the border of Ukraine and Belarus.
According to the publication, on 12 February activists sent an appeal to the chief of police, asking him to pay attention to the increase in trucks with Russian license plates on the roads of the region. In the letter it was alleged that the truck does not pass the required inspection and may carry weapons.
On Saturday members of the movement left in Ovruch district, Zhytomyr region. Participant Valery Arushanyan circulated photos from the event, claiming activists were able to “communicate” with the border service.
